St.Amant has been such a big part of our family for many years. Three of my cousins are on the autism spectrum and because of this I’m blessed with an opportunity to experience St.Amant’s amazing work. Seeing how much the organization cares for the people they support, and seeing how it affects the families really gets me. It gives them a sense of hope and freedom that they may have never felt otherwise. During the St.Amant Spirited Art Soirée two years ago, my uncle gave a speech talking about how his son, who is on the highest end of the spectrum, was able to tell him that he loves him and that St.Amant taught him to speak when others said he never would.
I started donating pretty well within my first week of getting a credit card. I’ve always felt it necessary to give in any and every way that I can and St.Amant has always been the organization that first comes to mind. I’ve fallen in love with the stories that parents share. St.Amant’s giving a life to these people and not just one that allows them to eat and breathe; but one where they can be independent, find employment, smile, laugh and most importantly love.
We hope in the future to continue to increase our donations and give more to St.Amant as they are most deserving of every penny.
