You Can Help Give Bikes To People Who Are Waiting To Ride

July 19, 2019

Teddy loves riding a bike, but the tricycle he was given years ago is so worn out that it needs constant repairs.
Teddy will soon get a new bike that’s adapted to meet his needs and abilities, but four other men with disabilities are on St. Amant Foundation’s waiting list for their own.
Your donation will make sure that they don’t have to wait too long.
“Riding a bike has been an integral part of Teddy’s life. He would ride it every day, even multiple times a day, if you let him,” said Teddy’s mom, Pat Siwik.
Murray Hyundai Winnipeg recently gave a portion of their car sales towards the purchase of Teddy’s bike. They raised $2,300 and Scotiabank matched the donation.
“You see the happiness; the appreciation on Teddy’s mom’s face to see her son riding a bike. It kind of ties in with the enjoyment I know I feel when riding a bike and it’s great to give that feeling to other people,” said Richard Eccleston, General Manager of Murray Hyundai Winnipeg.
Custom mobility devices like bikes, wheelchairs and walkers are priced far out-of-reach for most families. These are ongoing funding priorities for St.Amant Foundation and we can’t deliver on them without you.
Please donate today and your gift will keep the wheels of independence rolling for many years to come!
Thank you for your generosity.
