Update to St.Amant Families – February 25, 2022

February 25, 2022

Dear St.Amant Families,
This week, we have eight new active cases of COVID-19. In people we support, we have two in Health & Transition Services (H&TS). In staff, we have two in Autism Programs, one in Clinical Services, two in Community Residential Programs, and one in H&TS.
The last year has been a long haul for all of you as family members and we are optimistic that this message brings some hope to you and your family. We’ve been waiting a long time to say that we are no longer considering the COVID-19 pandemic an emergency anymore and that we are cautiously starting to move away from the intensive emergency response we have had in place for almost two years.
As we begin to make some changes, we want you to know that the safety and wellbeing of your family members are always guiding our decisions. We expect to receive information from our funders within the next few weeks about what they see as a plan to reopen. Our commitment to you is to continue to keep our most vulnerable safe, while also committing to quality of life and the ability for your loved ones to participate in life and the community in a fulsome way.
Our first small change is to invite some small in-person meetings. We know that for some this is exciting. For others, this raises anxiety. Our goal is to be compassionate and move forward respectfully. Thank you for your confidence and support as we navigate this new stage of the COVID-19 pandemic.
