New Program: Community Services

September 13, 2015

A big part of our strategic plan is Expansion and Transition. This means that we will be opening new services and changing some of our current services to either provide support to more people, or expand the options we currently offer. In order to accommodate the growth and ensure that the staff working in the service areas that are growing and/or changing quickly have enough resources and energy to implement change, we have reorganized some of our services. Earlier this year we separated the Autism and Outreach services as both of those areas have many new initiatives planned for the next few years. Also, we hired a new Director to lead a group of services that are all anticipated to grow over the next few years. Dana Hope is the new Director for the group of services we are calling: Community Services. This new area includes:
• Supported Independent Living
• Foster Care Services
• Emergency Foster Care services (New Service)
• The community residences that support children
• The Developmental (Day) Services which provide services to individuals who live in the community
• The evolution of Respite Services into options outside of 440 River Road (future)
• The Leisure Guide and Funky Monkey
