Supporting People Through Grief & Loss Seminar

It is often a challenge to support people through grief and loss. In this session you’ll gain a greater understanding of the concepts of grief, loss and bereavement and explore how it impacts people with an intellectual disability as well as caregivers. You’ll be challenged to explore your own perspectives on the topic and will acquire tools for breaking bad news and aiding the people you support.

Coming of Age Coordinator
Leslie offers information and support, around the issues of grief and loss, both within Winnserv Inc. and outside organizations. She has presented on this topic at the Hospice and Palliative Care Manitoba conference, takes part in the HPCM volunteer training program and the Compassionate Care Course that focuses on staff supporting individuals, with an intellectual disability, who are experiencing end-of-life.
