St.Amant Family Association Committees

Association has a number of Committees that work with different areas and staff within St.Amant.

Developmental Services Committee: Works with the Developmental Services Program to ensure that the adult residents have a full and rewarding day, each and every day.

Communication Committee: Works together with all St.Amant programs and the St.Amant Foundation to develop appropriate and timely communications with the public and media.

Community Residences Committee: Operates as a liaison between the Community Residential Program and the Association. This provides a path for information exchange and learning about one another from our group to the individuals living in the community homes and their families.

Membership Committee: Works toward promoting the participation of new and existing members within the Association by having parents, family members, siblings and advocates connect with our group.

Care Committee: Looks at the many different facets of what makes River Road Place home to individuals living there. The support, social activities and well being of the individuals is reviewed and consultations made with support staff. It is also the main point of contact with the Province of Manitoba through the Department of Family Services and Consumer Affairs; Department of Education and Literacy; and Manitoba Health.

School Committee: Works with the St.Amant School staff to keep the Association informed of news and programs at the school. Information is shared through the Association’s monthly meeting minutes, and the school’s weekly newsletters. We are involved with some of the school’s internal committees and we take part in their many annual activities, including graduation.
