On Tuesday, June 16, the St.Amant community gathered to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the St.Amant Research Centre (SARC), marking two decades of research, collaboration and innovation that have helped improve the lives of people with disabilities and their families.

The evening brought together researchers, donors, partners, staff and friends of St.Amant for an elegant celebration of SARC’s legacy and impact. Guests enjoyed a wonderful evening of conversation, exceptional food and meaningful reflections, highlighted by an engaging research panel featuring four of SARC’s researchers. Together, they shared how their work continues to shape evidence-informed practices and create positive change for the people and communities we serve.

Throughout the evening, speakers reflected on the importance of research in advancing services, strengthening partnerships and ensuring that knowledge leads to meaningful action. Guests also heard heartfelt words of gratitude for the donors and supporters whose generosity has helped make this work possible, followed by an inspiring look at the future of the Research Centre and its continued commitment to discovery, collaboration and innovation.

As we celebrated this important milestone, we also looked ahead with optimism. The past 20 years have demonstrated the power of research to improve lives, and the next chapter promises even greater opportunities to learn, grow and strengthen supports for people and families across Manitoba and beyond.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the St.Amant Research Centre’s journey. Here’s to the next 20 years of making a difference through research.
