Celebrating Adam Manji: Recipient of the Laurel Mason Award

May 3, 2025

Did you know that each week, over 400 St.Amant volunteers help enhance the lives of people with developmental disabilities or autism? On April 10, the Volunteer Appreciation Awards celebrated the kind, caring, and gracious individuals who donate their time to St.Amant. In honour of Volunteer Appreciation Week (April 27 – May 2), we will be sharing some words from the award recipients on their experience volunteering at St.Amant.

Adam Manji is the recipient of the Laurel Mason Award. Every day, Adam shows up with a beaming smile, ready to help. Adam brings a sense of joy and kindness that makes every day brighter—whether he’s cracking jokes or assisting in the Volunteer Services office.

“I would say that my favourite memories working at St.Amant would be any time that the Volunteer Services admins and I would joke around and talk about things. It’s cool hearing everybody’s stories. I enjoy working in the office with those in the Volunteer admin office and I also enjoy knowing that I am a big help to them. The friendly atmosphere keeps me coming back to St.Amant. Everyone there is so welcoming and always has a positive vibe. What I would tell someone who is considering volunteering at St. Amant is that it is a great place to get some experience working with people and feel like you’re putting yourself out there and helping the world. Everyone is super flexible and understanding as well.”

Adam, thank you for your hard work, your positivity, and the warmth you bring to the St.Amant family! Please visit our Volunteer page if you are interested in volunteering or would like more information about our Volunteer Services.
