COVID Positive at St.Amant School (H&TS) – December 19, 2021

December 19, 2021

Dear Health & Transition Services Families,
We have become aware of a single COVID-19 positive case in a staff member in the Health & Transition Services section of St.Amant School. The employee is isolating at home and is doing well.
All families of students who are within the same cohort of the employee have been contacted by St.Amant, protocols have been enacted, and people supported who attend school will stay on their units until they receive further direction from Public Health.

We will continue to monitor people supported in Child and Young Adult Health Services and parts of Stabilization Services, and you will be contacted if your loved one develops any symptoms and requires a test for COVID-19.
Out of an abundance of caution, we have cancelled all visits for today and tomorrow to give our Occupational Health Team and Infection Prevention Control Nurse time to complete their risk assessments. Visits may resume once this process is complete. No classes will be held at St.Amant School on Monday and Tuesday.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Sheena Brown, Manager, Stabilization Services, by email shbrown@stamant.ca or by phone at 204-256-4301 ext. 4244.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
