Digital Literacy: Empowering connection

Digital literacy is about having the skills to use technology to connect with others, access information, and engage in digital communities. It’s key for staying connected, meeting new people, exploring interests, and accessing services, all of which promote independence and inclusion.

Building digital literacy us all about the three Es – experience, exposure and education. By supporting people to learn, practice, and gain confidence with technology, they will be empowered to use it safely and to their advantage. Without digital skills, people become more reliant on others for information and access. The goal is support people to feel in control of their digital world, opening up new opportunities for independence and participation.
