This training is open to St.Amant staff and Volunteers (exceptions apply). If you are a staff member, please speak to your supervisor to register. If you are not a St.Amant staff member, and would like more information about this training opportunity, please email training@stamant.ca.
Training Overview
The best way to ensure the safety, and well-being of the people we support is to provide services that engage and strengthen family connections. This workshop will teach you how to meet these goals.
Learning Objectives
- State why the people we support need families in their lives.
- Name the guiding principles of family centred practice.
- Describe decision making in relation to family centred practice and person centred supports.
- Identify strategies for building relationships with families.
What you can expect:
In this workshop you can expect lectures, videos, and group discussions. If your session date is online, you must join with a device that has a webcam and microphone. If your session is in person, see the location or your confirmation email for details.
