St.Amant Together Award 2020

For the last four years, at the St.Amant Party, we have been presenting someone (or a group) with the St.Amant Together Award. This award is presented to a person who encapsulates St.Amant’s mission of freeing the spirit, fulfilling potential, together and our values of collaboration, hospitality and respect through his or her dedication to people with developmental disabilities and autism.

This year, we are honouring St.Amant’s front line staff.

Every year, it’s the front line staff who play the role of connector and facilitator, supporting participants to fully engage in camp experiences, and life in general. They are behind the scenes working tirelessly to make it all happen.

This year, not only are they supporting people in all their everyday ways, they are showing up, every single day, risking infection during a global pandemic, and figuring out new ways to make life meaningful, to keep people connected to friends and family and to step up and out when many of us are staying in. Nothing would happen at St.Amant without the front line staff, they are our heroes.

The annual St.Amant Party: Camp for 100 raises funds for recreation and leisure opportunities for everyone supported by St.Amant. It’s also the time when we honour a community member who has gone above and beyond as a friend to St.Amant.

We will share a video to thank all of our frontline staff and we need your help! Will you send us a photo that demonstrates your thanks to our frontline employees? You could hold up a sign with a short thank you message…or get creative! The photos need to be high quality – so just send us your best one and don’t shrink the file size. For video it works out best if it is horizontal. Submissions can be sent to news@stamant.ca by November 20.

Join us in recognizing the important roll our front line staff play in the lives of over 2,100 people in Manitoba! If you want to share a story or experience related to one of St.Amant’s front line staff, please email news@stamant.ca.
