Indigenous Cultural Awareness Training

Overview: St Amant invites you to attend a comprehensive two-day workshop aimed to provide Indigenous cultural awareness training. This highly interactive workshop features a blending of adult learning principles with Traditional Indigenous knowledge. Join us as we learn history and culture from an Indigenous perspective.

Day 1 topics include residential schools, the lasting effects of colonization and inter-generational trauma.
Day 2 is focused more on Indigenous healing models which includes 4 sacred medicines, medicine wheel, holistic healing and ceremonies.

What you can expect:
Participants are expected to learn in facilitator led presentations, small and large group interactions. Please note, group dynamics is a very important part of this training, we discourage participants from enrolling without the ability to remain in this training for both consecutive days.

Corporate Education training is open to all St.Amant staff and volunteers, and hosted on Zoom. You may need approval from your supervisor to attend. If you are not a St.Amant staff, and would like more information about training, please email training@stamant.ca
