Honouring the Caregiver Workshop for First Nations Caregivers

Who should attend the workshop?

First Nations caregivers who care for a loved one with a neurodevelopmental

difference (e.g., autism, ADHD, FASD, intellectual disability) living in Manitoba.

When is the workshop?

The workshop will take place over two days on Wednesday October 30, 2024

and Thursday October 31, 2024. The workshop starts at 9:00 am and will wrap

up by 4:30 pm each day.

Where will the workshop take place?

The workshop will take place at the Wyndham Garden Hotel (Makozhe Room

B) at 460 Madison Street in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Will food be provided during the workshop?

Yes, lunch will be provided by the Manoomin restaurant within the hotel.

Is there a cost to attend the workshop?

No. There is no cost to participate in this free workshop. Participants are

responsible for their own travel and accommodations to attend the workshops

in Winnipeg.

What will I learn at the workshop?

Topics covered during the workshop relate to self-care and will include

experiential mindfulness activities, cultural teachings, and a sharing circle.This document is available in alternative formats.

Are accessibility accommodations available?
