All seminars are lead by Dr. Kirsten Wirth, C.Psych, BCBA-D from Wirth Behavioural Health Services (www.wirthbehaviouralhealth.com). Dr. Wirth is a licensed psychologist and board certified behavior analyst-doctoral in private practice, an Adjunct Professor in the Psychology Department at the University of Manitoba (http://www.umanitoba.ca/psychology), and the Governmental Affairs Chair, Founder, and a Past President of the Manitoba Association for Behaviour Analysis (www.maba.ca). She is also the author of “How to get your child to go to sleep and stay asleep: A practical guide for parents to sleep train young children,” and the mother of two young children. Dr. Wirth writes a blog on evidence-based parenting tips at www.theinvestigatingparent.wordpress.com. She has over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, with or without developmental disabilities and autism using, teaching, and training others to use ABA, decrease problem behaviors, and teach skills. Dr. Wirth has also been an invited speaker and presenter at local and international conferences.

H.A.L.E Autism Presents: LEGO Social Skills Group – Spring 2015

Kristian and Lynn Hooker brings their fun-filled LEGO® Based Social Skills Group sessions to St.Amant. The LEGO Social Skills Group sessions involve engaging groups of children on the Autism Spectrum and teaching them the value of teamwork, strategic thinking and friendship all the while enjoying LEGO activities.

Whether your child can build a whole LEGO® city in an afternoon, or has never opened a LEGO box before, all are welcome.

The sessions are at St.Amant and will start on Saturday, April 11 and will run every Saturday until June 13.

  • The first LEGO Social Skills Sessions will run from 10:30 – 12:00 pm
  • The second session is Personal Space Camp which focuses on Social Skills on Personal Space in a group.  This runs from 12:30 to 1:30pm

Both sessions will occur at St.Amant, 440 River Road.

Cost: $175 per child, ages 7 – 14, for the 10 weeks. If a parent wishes to register their child for both sets of sessions, they can register their child for both sessions at a cost of $330.
