Learning Objectives

  • learn the steps to running effective overlaps with parents and tutors
  • learn how to deliver behaviour specific feedback and set goals for staff and parents
  • learn to track parent and staff progress on goals and follow up on any issues.

Synopsis: Staff will learn the importance of parent and staff overlaps and the steps needed to run effective overlaps. We will talk about how to deliver feedback, and how to receive feedback from others. The difference between positive, negative and corrective feedback will be covered. We will discuss setting goals for staff, following up on those goals and what to do if you run into problems with those goals.
