Learning objectives

  • learn about the categories of reinforcers and how to do reinforcer samplings.

Synopsis: This presentation will review what Applied Behaviour Analysis is and how it has been used to treat children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Positive reinforcement will be defined, explained and several examples will be given so you understand its practical applications.  We will review how to do reinforcer samplings as well as the different categories of reinforcers. Finally we will learn about the various differential reinforcement strategies that can be used to decrease problem behaviour.
