Synopsis: Attendees will review a variety of strategies that can be used in the classroom in order to help children with specials needs. Procedures such as positive reinforcement, the use of prompting strategies, and visual strategies (i.e., activity schedules, token boards) will be presented. Some basic information on challenging behaviours will be presented such as why they may occur and how to assess them in order to treat them based on their function.
