Message to St.Amant Families – June 10, 2020

June 10, 2020

Dear Family Members:

We received word today that John Leggat, who was seconded to the position of Deputy Minister for the Department of Families within the Government of Manitoba will be returning to his role as President & CEO at St.Amant September 1. You can see the announcement from our Board Chair, Francine Deroche here. I will be returning to my position of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. It has been an honour to serve as Acting President & CEO over the past year.

The Department of Families sent service updates for families this week.  You can click to see the Children’s Disability Services and the Community Living disAbility Services updates that outline their current services as the province begins to reopen.

At St.Amant, we are still working on re-opening plans and waiting eagerly for announcements from Public Health around in-person services and visitation. As we receive any new information, we will share it with you!

Thank you again for all of your patience, we are all anxious to get back to “business as usual” and are also very cognizant that what we will likely be getting back to is a “new normal”. As we embark on this journey of finding a new normal, we are relying on your feedback and support. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your program and service contacts to share your insight. Our Pandemic Committee continues to meet regularly and we will be reviewing feedback and using that information to help guide our service delivery.

Again, thank you for your support and I truly hope you are well.

Sincerely,

Shirley Labossiere
A/President & CEO
