Not much can slow down Janet Franczyk. Even from her bed while she’s recovering from surgery, Janet is calling friends and family to ensure they will renew their pledge for the Free the Spirit Festival. She may not be able to participate in the 2 km walk, but she’s still working hard to raise money and will be asking all of her family to walk for her.
Janet is a long-time donor to the St.Amant Foundation, and her persistence comes from being a committed and devoted mother, a successful retired business woman, and a top fundraiser for the St.Amant Free the Spirit Festival.
Janet’s daughter Donna-Marie has received services at St.Amant’s complex residential care facility for over 40 years and has recently benefitted from living area renovations at River Road Place. Donna-Marie is enjoying a beautifully-decorated new bedroom thanks to donations from past festivals.
“I’m very happy with the care my daughter receives. When I learned that people were collecting pledges for the St.Amant Festival, I felt compelled to help out and give back,” said Janet.
Join Janet today by signing up to participate in either a 2.5km walk or a 5km run, all in support of helping 1600 individuals reach milestones and explore independence, through recreation and leisure activities.
