Outbreak Declared at Health & Transition Services – December 31, 2021

December 31, 2021

Dear Health & Transition Services Families,
As you have all heard, this has been a challenging week in our Province and at St.Amant with many staff testing positive for COVID-19 as well as some of the people we support.
We currently have six staff and one person we support who have tested positive for COVID-19 within Health & Transition Services. In consultation with Public Health and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, we have declared an outbreak on Adult Health Services West.
This means that at least until Tuesday, we will suspend all visitation. This will allow us time to complete contact tracing and assess for risk. We will update as soon as the visitation and/or outbreak status changes.
As always, we can continue to connect people we support with their loved ones through virtual means. Thank you again for all of your support during these challenging times.
Todd MacDonald, Senior Manager
Health & Transition Services
