Outreach Therapy for Children

Overview

St.Amant, along with Manitoba Possible, provides home- and daycare-based services to preschool-aged children in Winnipeg. Outreach Therapy for Children is part of the larger Children’s Treatment Network of Manitoba, a province-wide service for children from birth to school exit that integrates services funded by the Departments of Health, Families and Education.

The goals of this program are to help children and their families develop skills for lifelong learning, and to make it a little easier for families to access multiple clinical supports at once. The team works together to build each family’s capacity to help their child reach their full potential. Services are provided in the child’s home or child care environment (day care, nursery school, early learning classroom.)

Clinical supports are available based on individual need and include:

  • Occupational Therapy (OT)
  • Physiotherapy (PT)
  • Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)

Families will be assigned to the agency, either St.Amant or Manitoba Possible, closest to their home or child care centre, depending on where they want to receive services.
