St.Amant Announces New Chief Financial Officer

Ben Adaman, St.Amant President & CEO, is pleased to announce that Julia Peemoeller is joining the organization January 30, 2023 as Chief Financial Officer.

Julia is a financial and operational leader with 20+ years experience in healthcare and higher education who is passionate about improving people’s lives, and specializes in leading strategic and operational projects using a collaborative team-based approach. She is a servant leader who believes in an inclusive, supportive work environment that promotes equity, diversity and inclusion.

“I feel a connection to St.Amant’s mission and values and am excited to join an organization that is committed to improving the lives of others through service, inclusion, and social justice,” said Peemoeller.

Julia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto, a CPA CGA designation and an MBA with a Human Resources specialization from the Australian Institute of Business. Her career extends across accounting, finance, budgeting and forecasting, risk management, operations management, payroll, human resources management, project implementation, leadership, and strategic partnerships and planning.

“The hiring committee was looking for a skilled leader with a strong values alignment and commitment to St.Amant’s culture and goals. With Julia’s experience and desire to make meaningful change in our community, she is well positioned to help us move our strategic priorities forward in an innovative and flexible way that meets the needs of everyone we support while nurturing a healthy, engaged workforce,” said Adaman.

Julia has been the Comptroller and Interim Vice-President, Finance and Administration at the University of Winnipeg since July 2018. Prior to this, she held the position of Chief Administrative Officer at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority for Corporate and Community Health Services, as well as various other finance and operational positions with the WRHA and St. Boniface Hospital. Preceding that she worked in private industry.
