St.Amant Foundation partners with Wild Winter Canoe Race

The St.Amant and DASCH Foundations have partnered to bring the Wild Winter Canoe Race to Shaw Park on February 16, 2019.

Energize your February long weekend! Invite your friends; amp up your team spirit with an outrageous costume; challenge other teams and take home some of those amazing prizes? Get your awesome crew of five together for that heart-pumping excitement! 2019 bonus…our new location includes heated spaces and full hospitality service.

Shaw Park – stadium seating, heated food court + bar, indoor washrooms, sky suites available for rent, a live video feed of heats and so much more.

When

Saturday, February 16, 2019, 12–6 PM. An exciting addition to your February long weekend plans. You’ll love the games & contests. New in 2019, the SnowTube Fam Jam heats by EduVacay, more to come on that.

What

A race. In a canoe. In WINTER. Limited space – only 60 teams. 5-person teams race canoes over a snow-packed course. Bell Media hosts. Assiniboia Downs race caller. Prizes that will blow your mind! Think 5 Via Rail return passes for 2 to Churchill. FREE admission for fans. It’s a blast!

We supply canoes. No paddles here!
You and your crew “foot-paddle” the canoe to the finish. Head to head heats. 3 Fastest teams win the big prizes…and bragging rights!

Why

2019 proceeds will support the Sharing Together Fund, a collaboration between St.Amant & DASCH Foundations that will harness the power of recreation to connect children, youth and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism with their neighbours. Activities such as street movie nights and neighbourhood BBQs will spark some fun and grow bonds to ease loneliness and social isolation. St.Amant and DASCH have over 150 community homes throughout Winnipeg.
