St.Amant Shines at Pride 2024: A Celebration of Diversity & Community

June 11, 2024

St.Amant celebrated Pride 2024 by doing both an internal event at 440 River Road and participating in the Pride march downtown on Sunday, June 2, 2024 by creating a wonderful float.

It was an electric atmosphere at 440 River Road in the cafeteria. Special thank you to our Diversity and Inclusion Committee who planned an awesome afternoon full of learning, understanding and discussion of the theme “Pride of all: celebrating intersectionality”. There were ethical issues discussed, spaces for everyone to create signs, decorations and tie dye bandanas for the upcoming parade, audio and video prompts to learn more about the 2SLGBTQ+ community and songs were brainstormed to be played for our float at the parade. Everyone was invited to join the team at the Pride Parade that Sunday and branding their newly made decorations.

The parade day turned out beautifully with the rain holding off until after the parade ended! There was dancing, singing, waving and all around energy and joy! It was special to join colleagues and friends, including the people we support, to march together.

We thank everyone who participated, supported and assisted in any way they could and are already planning for next year! Happy pride month!
