Summer Solstice Ceremony and Sharing Circle Open to Everyone

June 13, 2019

Join us as we gather on Friday, June 28 at 1:15pm in the Buhler Gardens at 440 River Road to celebrate the arrival of the new summer season.

This gathering is open to everyone. Please support those who find meaning in wearing traditional ceremonial clothing to prepare accordingly. Blankets will also be available.
People who have their own drum practice are invited to bring their drum to share in opening and closing songs. Those who practice First Nations, Metis or Inuit dance will have a space to share their dance during the songs.
We will be hosting friends from the WRHA Indigenous Health and Cultural Care program who will lead us in a teaching ceremony, a smudge and a sharing circle. Afterwards, we will enjoy some refreshments and a traditional snack.
If you have any questions please contact Andrew Terhoch at aterhoch@stamant.ca or ext 2611.
