Update to Health & Transition Services Families – January 29

January 29, 2021

Dear Health & Transition Services Families,

Another week has passed and there have been no cases of COVID-19 for your loved ones or our staff in Health & Transition Services.

Families are enjoying their visits with the various options available while wearing their PPE.
Last night, a 1960s themed virtual dance party was held and many people are looking forward to a weekly virtual bingo game happening on Wednesday afternoons. Six more free virtual events are in the works for people supported by St.Amant. These are similar to the St.Amant Leisure Guide where people across programs get engaged, have fun, and create friendships. These are in addition to the activities our H&TS staff organize with your loved ones.

With delays in the Pfizer vaccine, no new appointments are occurring but the Province released their plans about priority populations for immunization. We’re hoping if shipments start arriving in February, that people supported by Health & Transition Services can receive their first dose. In the meantime, we continue to prepare so we are ready for our date when we receive it.

Stay safe and thank you for all of your support!
Sarah Mankelow
Director, Health & Transition Services
