Update to St.Amant Families – April 23, 20221

April 23, 2021

April 23, 2021
Dear St.Amant Families,
We are very pleased to share that St.Amant currently has no active cases of COVID-19.
However, cases across the city and province are rising at a rate similar to our second wave. Today, the Province is recommending that Manitobans stay home as much as possible and to continue to follow the Public Health orders. Please remind friends and family to stay home if they’re sick and to get tested for COVID-19. The variants of concern in Manitoba are more infectious and we must take actions that will prevent further spread of the virus.
Today, the Government of Manitoba announced new eligibility criteria for those 18+ that live in high risk areas. (https://manitoba.ca/covid19/vaccine/eligibility-criteria.html#community-based) Additional eligible areas will be announced next week.
As a reminder, those 50 years of age and older and those 30 years of age and older for First Nation people are eligible to book an appointment at a super site or pop-up clinic. All Manitobans aged 40 and over are eligible to receive the AstraZeneca/Covishield vaccine at a medical clinic or pharmacy. Eligible Manitobans can find their nearest clinic or pharmacy with available doses by visiting: manitoba.ca/covid19/vaccine/finder.html.
Wishing you all a safe and restful weekend,
John Legatt
President & CEO
