Update to St.Amant Families – December 11, 2020

December 11, 2020

Dear St.Amant Families
The true test of a team is how they react under pressure. I’m very proud to tell you that although the past week has been challenging and worrisome as we experience the most people in our community with Covid at one time, the support and teamwork I have witnessed has been inspiring. Programs working together in tight timelines, employees willing to work in different areas, clever ideas to keep people’s spirits up – the examples are unending.
Health & Transition Services currently has three people supported and two staff members with Covid. The Community Residential Program has eight staff members and three people supported with Covid. And the Community Services Program has one staff person with Covid. This is the most people we’ve had ill at one time in our organization. I asked our team and I’m asking you to please hold a space in your heart for each person as they recover. We have now added a space on the website to share real-time updates when there are new Covid cases within St.Amant. You can check back here regularly.
If you have yet to see the events coming up this December, let me be the first to invite you! You’ll find all of the events and the information you need to sign up to attend the Christmas party here: December Events
The Wish Book gift baskets have been a huge success! Our office space is beginning to look like Santa’s workshop as the team begins to assemble 360 personalized baskets for delivery later this month – we can’t wait to see everyone’s face when they receive their gift! Huge thanks to everyone who participated to help make this happen.
We all experience the holidays differently, and this year will be tough. Even as we focus on the positive, sometimes it’s hard to keep the grief at bay. Please remember that we have resources available, and you are encouraged to reach out if you need support.
Wishing you all well,
John Leggat
President & CEO
