Update to St.Amant Families – February 26

February 26, 2021

Dear St.Amant Families:
We are very pleased to share that there have been no new cases of COVID-19 this week and there’s currently only one active staff case.
On Monday, the first doses of the vaccine will be administered to eligible adults supported at Health & Transition Services. This is a very special and long awaited day as data shows that the vaccine is effective in preventing hospitalization or death.
Another very encouraging note to share is regarding the opportunity for staff asymptomatic testing. Next week, the asymptomatic testing clinic opens on Tuesday for eligible staff at 440 River Road. The clinic will operate on different dates and times in the following weeks in order to accommodate staff from every shift. We’re encouraging everyone eligible to take a test as it is another tool we can use to stop future outbreaks.
Our very talented Volunteer Services team has announced several new fun virtual events for the next two months for everyone to enjoy. For more information about upcoming events, read more here.
As a reminder, this is your last chance to sign up for the online Mindful Self-compassion course that starts next week. This an excellent course, and there’s still room to join. Funds are available to cover the cost, so check it out.
Thank you for your ongoing support and feedback.
Stay safe,
Shirley Labossiere
Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer
