Update to St.Amant Families – June 30, 2021

June 30, 2021

Dear St.Amant Families,
I’m pleased to share that St.Amant continues to have zero active COVID-19 cases. The vaccines are protecting people supported and our staff, as is our commitment to wearing PPE and practicing the fundamentals. As more people become fully vaccinated I hope more meaningful visits and activities happen with your loved ones.
This week, St.Amant hosted the Premier at the St.Amant Spirit Cottage grounds for a news conference announcing 25 community grants to help with community vaccine clinics. St.Amant was recognized for successfully putting on Manitoba’s first drive-thru vaccine clinic last week. Later in July, St.Amant will once again be hosting additional weekly drive-thru vaccine clinics at the Spirit Cottage. More details will be shared soon on clinic dates.
Our friends at ImagineAbility are hosting a drive-thru Moderna vaccine clinic on Thursday, July 8 from 9am-3pm at 500 Madison Street. Any people supported, staff and their family and friends can attend, but this is a great opportunity for people who would not be well served at other vaccine sites and people supported now eligible for a second dose. Most vaccine sites across the province are offering walk-in Moderna appointments and many independent and chain pharmacies have same-day Moderna appointments that can be quickly booked. You can use the province’s vaccine finder to help find the site nearest to you. https://manitoba.ca/covid19/vaccine/finder.html
Thank you for your support and feedback, it’s always appreciated.
