Update to St.Amant Families – October 29, 2021

October 29, 2021

October 29, 2021
Dear St.Amant Families,
It’s flu shot season and we are hoping that everyone has rolled up their sleeve to keep everyone safe this year! If you haven’t had a chance to get your shot yet, St.Amant is hosting a friends & family clinic on Wednesday, November 10 from 12:30pm – 7:15pm. More details will be shared next week.
St.Amant is actively advocating for Covid-19 booster shots for everyone we support through Health & Transition Services. Currently only people supported there who are over 65 are eligible. Our direct service, healthcare staff are eligible, but our community staff are not. We continue to bring this forward with the Department of Families and Public Health – hopefully they will all be eligible soon.
Life continues to feel a little more normal and we’ve had an increase in event ticket donations, last week saw a number of people out and about enjoying the soccer, football and hockey games! As we start to return to some of these activities, some of us are struggling with anxiety around being around other people and also with feeling overwhelmed by new social obligations. Our friends at Aulneau Renewal Centre are offering free wellness checks for anyone who might wonder if they have anxiety or depression (https://aulneau.com/covid-19-update).
Wishing you all a fun Halloween and a great weekend,
John
