Update to St.Amant School Families

June 1, 2020

Hello,

The Province has announced limited school reopening plans beginning June 1. These plans do not change the services St.Amant School is currently offering as we are part of a larger facility that needs to follow guidelines for long term care facilities. We will continue to offer distance education for our community students and modified programming for students receiving services through Health & Transition Services.

We are actively working on plans to ensure that when we receive notice that we can reopen, we will be able to adhere to the physical distancing guidelines currently recommended for schools and we are hoping to be able to have some meetings with students over the summer months – this will be arranged with care providers.

We are very grateful to the families, students and educators who have really embraced distance education- so many great things are happening such as direct video lessons, sharing materials, art projects, emails and so much more!

We will share more information as soon as it comes to us. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Joyce Douglas
Principal, St.Amant School
