We should have a better understanding of what advocacy is, and how it relates to your role at St.Amant.&nbsp;Staff will discuss, share and learn ways to advocate for the people we support everyday.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;Learning Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>define advocacy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>list different types of advocacy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>understand St.Amant\u2019s statement of commitment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>identify legislation that surrounds rights and decision making<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>identify who we are responsible to<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>identify several ways we can advocate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>list some limitations and risks to advocacy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>create an action plan\u200b<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What you can expect:<br><\/strong>In this workshop you can expect lectures, videos, and group discussions. If your session date is online, you must join with a device that has a webcam and microphone.
