Mark your calendars for Aboriginal Solstice Ceremony

December 9, 2016

Come and join us for the Aboriginal Winter Solstice Ceremony on Thursday, December 15. The event will take place in the St.Amant Gym from 1:30 – 3:00 PM. We will be hosting Elder Betty Ross, an Aboriginal Drummer and of course we will be enjoying some refreshments following the ceremony!
AGENDA
1:30 PM – Smudging
1:45 PM – Opening Prayer
2:00 PM – Teaching on Fall Season
2:15 PM – Aboriginal Singer/Drummer
2:30 PM – Bannock, Berries, Refreshments
Please note that women attending should be wearing long skirts for the ceremony as per traditional protocol, and that there will be smudging taking place at 1:30pm. Individuals who are sensitive to smudge smoke should enter at approximately 2:00pm.
