Hello!
This is just a short note to let you know that your family members are doing well from a health and spirit perspective. There are Halloween decorations in the atrium, a mask contest on the second floor i.e. what is the best thing about wearing a mask?, a Fun Committee on the second floor, and many recreation opportunities to support quality of life.
We are back to doing active screening at the front entrance for all staff entering the building – asking the questions, taking temperatures, and ensuring that staff are pre-screening and not coming to work ill.
For those of you who are still visiting, a reminder that because of our continued outbreak and the Orange level of pandemic response for the city of Winnipeg and surrounding areas, one of the two family designated caregivers can visit at a time on all areas except Adult Services (first floor). Adult Services one of two at a time family designated caregiver visits can resume October 9 barring any further positive staff cases of COVID-19.
All of your family members continue to be COVID-19 symptom-free.
We were saddened by the deaths of two people supported by the Adult Health Service (unrelated to COVID-19) since our last update. Our condolences, thoughts, and prayers go out to their family members.
We continue to think of you and wish you the best of health. We encourage those of you who have a smartphone, to download the COVID-19 app that is now available and up and running for Manitoba.
Take good care. Be well.
