2017 Canada Summer Games Torch Bearers

Congratulations to Michael Milani, 2-time Special Olympic medalist in Alpine Ski and Allyssa Buckland, member of the Winnipeg Wolfpack Women’s Tackle Football and Team Canada player for receiving the honour of 2017 Canada Summer Games Torch Bearer.

Michael and Allyssa walked the red carpet at Manitoba Hydro Place this morning to receive their commemorative pin and gather with the other 67 Winnipeg Torch Bearers for a pancake breakfast. They were selected from over 650 applicants. Michael is supported by a St.Amant community program and Alyssa is a long time staff member in one our community programs.
The torch bearers will receive their run route soon and we’ll share the information so you can all come out to cheer them on!
