Indigenous Spiritual and Cultural Care Program Elder to visit St.Amant

August 1, 2018

Beginning in August, an elder from our region’s Indigenous Spiritual and Cultural Care Program will be visiting River Road Place at least once each month. The first scheduled visit is August 16 at 10:00 am.
Each visit will provide people with an opportunity to gather for a healing smudge ceremony. If held indoors, it will be a dry smudge with no burning of sage plant.
There will also be an opportunity for a few people to have some one-on-one time with the Elder for a personal healing blessing.
Those that live in the community outside of River Road Place may join the group smudge ceremony and people of all cultural traditions and spiritual backgrounds are welcome.
Please contact Spiritual Health Services, at aterhoch@stamant.ca or ext. 2611, with the names of any people who would like to attend, or with names of people who would appreciate a personal visit from the Elder in their River Road Place residence.
