H&TS Families Letter – Aug 13, 2021

August 13, 2021

Dear Health & Transition Services Families,

The summer is flying by and it’s hard to believe that we’re mid-way through August already. Although the weather hasn’t been great for farmers or fires, the warm dry weather has meant that people have been getting outside and off-site on a regular basis. We’re so happy to have volunteers back, leading outdoor activities and when the weather is really hot, or we still want to connect with larger groups; the virtual activities are as varied and entertaining.
Next week, our summer students and volunteers are hosting a carnival with games, activities, music, and all sorts of good old-fashioned fun. As we slowly welcome volunteers back, we are seeing friends reuniting, showing us how absence really does make the heart grow fonder. Huge thanks goes out to our volunteers for sticking out the long absence and recommitting to spending their time with us.
Safety remains a top priority and we continue to follow all PPE guidelines. Vaccination remains our best defense and our way back to pre-pandemic life. If you haven’t yet had your vaccines, please do. If you have any questions about the Covid-19 vaccine, our Pharmacy team can help.
Thanks for your ongoing support!
Sarah
