Do you have a child in grade 9 this year? Is he/she starting to think about a career path?
Wednesday, November 5, 2014 is Canada’s National “Take Our Kids to Work Day” for Grade 9 students. This opportunity allows employees to bring their child to work to learn about their parent’s role, and other careers within St.Amant. This day is intended to help young people make the link between education and work opportunities.

This is what you and your child can expect:
7:30am-8:00am Student arrival; Name tags
8:00am-8:30am Breakfast, (muffins; juice etc.) PHIA
8:30am-9:00am Fun Activity Icebreakers (one or two games)
9:00am-9:30am Presentation about St.Amant– what we do, types of jobs in the company, career opportunities. Guest Speakers
9:30am-9:45am.Break
9:45am-10:30am.Tour of the St.Amant Spirit Cottage
10:30am-11:30am Tour of the St.Amant School
11:30am-12:00pm Quizzes and games
12:00pm-12:45pm Lunch (Students will be given the opportunity to ask questions (i.e. what was your first job). Certificates of participation will be distributed to students and feedback surveys will be handed out to be completed no later than Friday, November 7, 2014.
12:45pm-1:00pm Parents/Host Parent can pick up the student for Job Shadowing
