Last spring, St.Amant held a special event to celebrate and honour people who, over the years, have given their time, energy, and talents to St.Amant.
The Long Service Award reception happened in the historic Assiniboine Park Pavilion venue. It honoured employees for reaching a major milestone as St.Amant’s team members.
St.Amant honourees who attended the event, received a certificate, gifts, and enjoyed a full evening of live music, food, a photo booth, and several cheerful conversations. Friends and team members had the opportunity to express gratitude for their invaluable contributions and all they have done to make the organization the success it is today.
The St.Amant President and CEO, Ben Adaman shared in his speech that “The decades of knowledge, wisdom and experience that you bring with you to work each day is truly inspiring (…) You’ve gone through many changes, and always remained committed to helping the people we support and your fellow co-workers.“
The people honoured for their milestone achievements in 2022 ranged from 20 to 45 years of outstanding service at St.Amant, and 28 employees received the award. Amongst them was Bernadette Vidal, who celebrated an impressive 45 years of service.
Emcee Todd MacDonald, Senior Manager from Health & Transition Services, called up Bernadette to receive her certificate by stating that “Bernie started working at St.Amant at the young age of 18, and now, 46 years later, she is embarking on a new journey of retirement. Officially she retired on May 9,” said Todd, who added “we will miss your cheerful disposition. We wish you a wonderful retirement.”
The Long Service Award is a one-of-a-kind event led by a staff committee. It happens every year to celebrate dedicated and committed employees who achieved milestones.
