New MicroMarket to open March 23rd at 440 River Road

March 18, 2020

The new MicroMarket will open early on Monday, March 23 and for the convenience of all staff, volunteers and visitors, will operate 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
The St.Amant Café’s last day of operation will be March 22. All St.Amant Café staff are moving into other roles in the Kitchen Services area. We thank café staff for serving us well for many years.
The MicroMarket will offer deli-fresh menu choices, including wraps, salads, sandwiches, and specialty foods, plus frozen meals, snacks, a fully-stocked coffee and tea bar, and a variety of cold drinks.
Similar to grocery store self-checkouts, the MicroMarket features a touch screen kiosk. Simply choose what you like from the open shelves or coolers, scan items at the pay station, and complete transactions with your debit card, credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Cash is not accepted.
Instructions on how to use the kiosk will be posted for staff, visitors and volunteers, and handouts will be made available to inform you about the reloadable account option, and how to sign up for this option.
MicroMarket was designed professionally with accessibility in mind. There is space for a wheelchair to maneuver under the pay station counter, and menu items are displayed for ease of reach.
We appreciate everyone’s patient understanding and flexibility, as we carefully explored and determined sustainable and affordable ways to meet the dietary and convenience needs of everyone who lives, works, visits, and volunteers at 440 River Road.
