On behalf of Francine Deroche, St.Amant Board Chair:

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I once again want to thank each and every one of you for your incredible work through Covid-19. We have been very impressed with your commitment to continuing services in new ways and your agility through near constant change.

We are pleased to announce that John Leggat is preparing to return from his secondment with the Government of Manitoba as Deputy Minister of Families. He will resume his permanent role as President & CEO of St.Amant, effective September 1, 2020.

We would like to acknowledge John’s dedication to service and thank him for filling an important role within government since June 2019. We are also very pleased that he’s returning to St.Amant to continue leading this organization with the spirit and energy he brought previously. John remains dedicated to innovation within an environment of advocacy, human rights and person-centred supports.

We are also pleased that Shirley Labossière, who has so graciously and competently led St.Amant in the role of Acting President & CEO, will continue in this role until John’s return. Shirley has led steadfastly with passion and heart through a time no one could have expected. We are very grateful for her strong leadership and commitment to the people we support, family members and all of you.
