We are very pleased to invite all people we support to book their first or second dose of COVID-19 vaccine. We also invite all staff – and your family members, who have not yet had a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine to book an appointment at our safe, accessible and inclusive vaccine clinic at 440 River Road.
UPDATE: The clinic is fully booked! Thank you! There is very limited drop-in for people with barriers to accessing larger sites.
We will be giving the Moderna vaccine, which is available to anyone who is over 18. People supported who have received any first dose can receive Moderna as their second dose as long as enough time has passed since their first dose. (Pfizer: 21 days, Moderna: 28 days and AstraZeneca: min 28 days, recommended 8 weeks).
The clinic will operate Monday, June 21 – Friday, June 25 from noon – 8 pm. It will be a drive-thru clinic where you can stay in your vehicle and the immunizer will come to you. If you don’t arrive in a vehicle, we will still be able to give you your vaccine. All of the people on site are experienced in supporting people who may be fearful, need additional time or have questions. Just let us know if you, your family or the person you are supporting have any additional needs.
Our goal is to support as many people within our community to be vaccinated as possible. If you have any questions, please speak to your supervisor, Occupational Health, or your family doctor. We are counting on staff to get the vaccine to help keep everyone safe!
