Update to St.Amant Families: January 29, 2021

January 29, 2021

Dear St.Amant Families,
There is an air of optimism at St.Amant with the announcement of the vaccine schedule, current low rates of COVID-19 within our organization and a new schedule of online events that Volunteer Services has organized for the next number of weeks.
We had one new case of COVID-19 reported from a staff who works in Community Services. The employee hadn’t worked during the period of communicability and is recovering well.
I had an opportunity to chat with our Pharmacy Team who has been leading the vaccine consent process for Health & Transition Services to hear about the most common questions they are receiving and their answers. We shared this video with all staff and you can also view the video here. As we receive new information about the vaccines, we will continue to update our resources section on the website, so feel free to check back often.
New online events include: Weekly Wednesday BINGO, Movement and Dance with Madison, Get Craftin’ with Sheridan, Origami with Annette, One Pot Meals with Christine, Mad Science and Zoltar and Duckie’s Excellent Adventure Back to the Breakfast Club. Last night was an Age of Aquarious dance party! These are all made possible through funding from St.Amant Foundation and the creative efforts of our Volunteer Services team.
Yesterday was Bell Let’s Talk Day with lots of organizations and individuals sharing information about mental health. We took some time to share information with our team and to remind and encourage them to sign up for our Not Myself Today staff resource. We’ve also compiled resources that may be helpful for you. You can access them here. We are also a part of the Reseau Compassion Network which offers resources – you can access them here.
Thank you for your support and understanding as we journey through this unprecedented event together.
