Update to St.Amant Families – September 10, 2021

September 10, 2021

Dear St.Amant Families,
Today we shared a new policy with staff that requires all staff, volunteers, contractors, and students to be vaccinated for COVID-19 by October 31, 2021, with an ability to consider accommodations.
We added this policy based on the population we serve (children who cannot be vaccinated & vulnerable adults) and due to the kind of work that we do, which involves supporting people to participate fully in our community, without barriers.
We acknowledge that this is a challenging and divisive topic and our goal is to be supportive and compassionate in discussions with our team. We also know that many of you, and many people we support expressed a strong desire to see this mandate. Although we will not be requiring proof of vaccination for visitors at this time (it’s not currently a discussion), we know that the virus and the environment can change. We strongly recommend that all family and friends get fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
We are hosting two drive-thru vaccine clinics at the Spirit Cottage next Monday and Tuesday and you and anyone in your network are encouraged to make an appointment. You can click here to do so online.
We are very pleased to say that we have no updates on active COVID-19 cases at this time.
I hope everyone enjoys another beautiful weekend!
