Join the Convoy of Support at 440 River Road

April 27, 2020

Please join us Thursday and/or Saturday as we form a convoy of support for each other and staff at 440 River Road.
Staff, family, volunteers and other friends of St.Amant can meet at 440 River Road on Thursday, April 30 before 1pm (one supported person with a staff member per vehicle), and start a procession of vehicles to show our solidarity and support for each other and St Amant.
You can make signs with our supported people showing messages of hope, support and encouragement for each other displayed on the vehicles safely and if possible decorate the vehicles with balloons, streamers, etc. Signs can safely be placed in the window behind the driver and other signs can be held. Or if you just want to drive in the procession, that’s ok too. Please encourage family members to join our procession in their own vehicles. The weather should be great so we can have the windows open to wave and cheer. It may be wise to come a little early and attach any outside decorations there so they don’t blow away en route to 440 River Road.
The procession will begin at 1:00 p.m., leaving from the first parking lot on the right as you turn into St.Amant driveway (Lot A), with hazards on.
The procession will turn right out of the parking lot and slowly make our way down the first row of visitor parking to the secondary building and turn back to the loop and exit slowly. Some people may want to continue on to St. Boniface General Hospital or Heath Sciences Centre to show appreciation for the hospital staff as well.
We would like to repeat this on Saturday, May 2 at 3 pm.
Some ideas for messages could be:

  • We miss you!
  • Thank you staffing clerks!
  • Thank you nurses!
  • Keep It Up!
  • Together We Can Beat This!

Or simply a drawing of a heart or a smile.
