Update to St.Amant Families – August 27, 2021

August 27, 2021

Dear St.Amant Families,
This week, many of the people we support are looking forward to heading out to the Unite 150 concert at Shaw Park and cheering on the Bombers on Sunday evening! It feels really good to be able to plan some fun activities. There’s also free concerts at Assiniboine Park and lots of people getting out to do errands. With the most recent announcement, we don’t know how long we’ll be able to safely venture out, so we’re taking advantage of the weather and our vibrant city while we can.
We were very pleased to see the Government of Manitoba mandate vaccination for front line workers in publicly funded sectors. St.Amant will move forward with mandatory vaccination for all staff and volunteers by October 31, 2021. Our policy will likely differ from the Provincial mandate, looking at accommodation only for staff who have a valid reason for exemption. We will share more once our policy is finalized.
If you still need to book your vaccine, you can find an appointment here: https://protectmb.ca/making-your-appointment-is-easy/
This week we are pleased to share that we have no new cases of Covid-19 in our community.
As always, thank you for your continued support and feedback – enjoy your weekend!
