Update to St.Amant Families – December 10, 2021

December 10, 2021

Dear St.Amant Families,
We continue to remain vigilant in ensuring that all staff are using appropriate PPE and following all public health guidelines while at work. We are also offering another vaccine clinic this Saturday, specifically targeted to children aged 5 – 12, however staff and families can also attend to receive a third dose (booster) of COVID-19 (as per provincial eligibility). Thank you for continuing to be safe when visiting. Please remember that even mild symptoms mean you should stay home and test for COVID-19.
We had one new positive case of COVID-19 in someone we support within the Community Services Program. All contact tracing is complete.
A huge thank you to everyone who was able to tune in to the Family Town Hall last night – it was really nice to see your faces and to have the opportunity to share some updates and answer some questions. If you were unable to attend, a recording of it can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/2oxuxTRaUyg
During the Town Hall, a guest speaker from the Family Advocacy Network of Manitoba (FAN) spoke. FAN is a community of over 500 parents, family members, and caregivers to people with intellectual/developmental disabilities in Manitoba working together to make positive changes for their family members. This is a place to share information and resources, support and connect with others who can relate to what it’s like supporting someone living with a disability and participate in advocacy activities. Self-advocates are also welcome. If you would like to learn more or connect with them, here is their contact information:

If you had sent in a question, that we didn’t have time to answer, we will be reaching out to you very soon. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your program team at any time with questions or comments.
Again, thank you for your unwavering support,
John Leggat
